Re: Why KDE isn't supported ?

Hi Jla.

That I cannot tell, but one can easily bypass the KDE environment check in install_viewagent.sh script. Open it with your favorite editor, search for xsessions and make your favorite way around the checks even your distro would had KDE Plasma installed; as Centos 7 Desktops natively do. We've found the product fully functional least as long as we stay with the default Gnome environment.

Maybe the GSS supported method would be actual removal of KDE Plasma packages from original distro which is kind a stupid - a better approach would be warn the user about possible compatibility issues and let the user decide. In this latter case maybe  $ yum groupremove "KDE Plasma Workspaces" does the job?
