I was trying to install LInux Mint 16 in VMware Player version 6.0.1-1379776 running on Windows 8.1. When I get to the actual installation part, I found that the Player window isn't wide enough to hold the whole install screen, and I couldn't make it larger. The "Continue" button was off the right edge of the window, and I had to move the Linux Mint install window around to get that button on the Player screen. That resulted in the column on the left in the install screen going off-screen to the left.
It was so funky, I gave up. Is this as good as it gets? VMware Tools were already updated at that point...Is it pointless to try this, or is there a way to help Player accommodate the Linux Mint install? I can't believe that the Player window can't be made big enough to show the full Linux Mint install screen, that's just poor. Maybe VirtualBox is the answer?
