Seems to have nothing to do with either NIC of OSX, as switching back to cabled Ethernet again made Fusion initially connect to http://softwareupdate.vmware.com and figure out that I had an update 6.0.2, but it couldn't fetch it self. So I manually downloaded and installed 6.0.2, but it seems the act the same, randomly only verifying my Fusion.App version against software update server. It's also unable to fetch VMware tools for my guest. It'll, when asked to install in running guest, start be saying download is needed and then processing it pops up a overlay window claim to either trying contact update server and/or eventually talking of a pending download, but nothing is every communicated onto the net according to my Little Snitch Network Monitor, ie. Fusion.App never talks to nobody which properly is why it ends up timing out.
Couldn't see anything either old/pending/left behind stuff in ~/Library/Application Support/VMware other that my config of guests... [expletive removed].. it annoying not to be able to install vmware tools...
