Hello. Recently upgrade my 4.1 environment to 5.0. Now what is nice is a warning alarm when you have disks to consolidate. I had one machine running on a 93GB snapshot disk. The warning told me to consolidate it. In the snapshot menu there is a new consolidate option right there. So I did this action. However after awhile it finished, the snapshot was still there. In the snapshot manager was still the same "Consolidate Helper - 0" snapshot, and looking at the vm's settings I noticed I was running on -00002 vmdks for that vm. So now I am doing the traditional "Delete All" function to delete all snapshots, just like I used to do in ESX 4.1.
So what is the difference between 5.0's consolidate feature and the Delete All snapshots feature? I thought they were all the same thing just in 5.0 they put it on the right click menu for faster access rather then opening snapshot manager and doing it in an extra screen.
