Re: Redundant VMware Fusion files in VM Library and under "Virtual Machines.localized/"

So is there any possible way to safely unlink the broken VM to reclaim the 9.1GB of space:

$ du -h ~/Documents/Virtual\ Machines.localized/Hackbox5.vmwarevm/

9.1G /Users/rdartnell/Documents/Virtual Machines.localized/Hackbox5.vmwarevm/

from the working VM:

$ du -h ~/PH/VMs/Hackbox5/

31G /Users/rdartnell/PH/VMs/Hackbox5/

or am I out of luck, and just have to accept that 9.1GB will be dead/lost/unused as long as I want to keep this VM alive?

FYI, the Windows drive within the VM is only 28GB, so 31GB total to contain the VM makes sense to me, though 40GB is overkill.
