I have several shared folders within Fusion running on Mac OS X. One of the shared folders began taking anywhere from 8 to 20 seconds to write a tiny text file that should have been instantaneous.
First, I tried removing the folder from the shared folder list in Fusion, then putting it back on the shared list. This did NOT solve the problem.
Second, I then DELETED the shared folder on the host machine and created a brand new folder with the same exact name/path. Then, the speed within Fusion was back to its usual full speed.
I am just wondering the following:
1) What might have caused that folder to become so extremely slow within sharing? (Did something in the host machine become corrupted, or did something on Fusion become corrupted?)
2) Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again in the future?
Any suggestions would be very appreciated.
Thanks,
- Jeff
