Hello virexperta thanks for your suggestion. The business does not want the user to be able to choose datastores as this would most likely turn out messy. However if the VirtualMachine.storage.name would work as a custom property, then it's sounds like I need a powershell script or workflow to determine which datastores should be used per operating system / environment type. Would there be any examples I could start with? Many thanks
